This is the follow-up podcast to the blog I posted a few days ago on the utilization of ultrasound to not only confirm mechanical capture, but also to perhaps identify a subset of patients without a pulse who may benefit from transcutaneous pacing. This is NOT a treatment recommendation, but rather a discussion teasing out the concept. I asked my buddy Leon Eydelman (@ECMOeydelman) to come on and poke some holes in my understanding. Leon is an Intensivist in Chicago with a particular interest in resuscitation and ECMO.
